There is no checkpoint at Estcourt due to low traffic.
Access is allowed.
Registration is encouraged at Little Black Checkpoint.

US Customs offices are closed during the following holidays: New Year's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, and Thanksgiving.

By Federal Law PL 99-570, there is a $5000 fine for a first time offense of entering Maine without proper US Customs permission, plus an additional $1000 fine per person involved. This includes entrance by foot or on watercraft.
